Important Pilot Information

  • Goodspeed is a privately-owned, public-use airport and seaplane base. It will not be subject to a NOTAM or TFR; please exercise caution in the area for possible extensive seaplane and NORDO traffic.

  • Runway 14 / 32: 2,120' x 35' of excellent asphalt

  • Runway 14 / 32 adjacent: ~1,400' x ~100' of rough grass

  • Runway 16W / 34W: 4,500' x 1,000' of water

  • All traffic patterns: climb to 1,000' AGL over the river before turning on course to comply with noise abatement rules. Left patterns for all runways.

  • Please fly less than 1/2 mile out on left downwind for Runway 14 to keep the airport environment in sight, and plan to turn base inside of the power lines to the north.

  • Seaplane docks may not be suitable for some flying boats.

  • Grass movement areas may be wet and muddy.

  • Please stay clear of runway lights ~10' from pavement.

  • Fuel is generally not available; plan on Chester Airport (KSNC), 4 nm SW, for normal fuel needs.
